Every moon, in every Clan, every litter sees one of its kittens for the last time.
It all started when SkyClan was forced out of the forest. One cat, a she-cat whose name is unknown to the Clans, stayed behind, refusing to leave her old territory. She lived as a loner, keeping herself hidden from the Clans. She instead took to gathering outsiders, teaching them that the Dark Forest was something to worship.
They believed her.
She brought this cult to life.
But the Clans found it and that was the end, right?
The Clans found it, but when they did, the cult retaliated. They fought back and nearly destroyed the Clans, and then they moved far, far away, so as to not be found again.
And so they began coming to collect a kitten from every litter, each moon, like clockwork. They kept spies in the Clans to keep an eye on them.
The Clans are anxious, their mental and emotional health being eaten by this Dark Forest cult, dubbed The Dark Hearts. Should they attack? Who are the traitors?
Will the Clans survive this ruthless, brainwashed mess of a cult?

It's November and most of the trees have turned yellow, red and gold. The air is cool and the wind blows more often than it did in the summertime, bringing with it the promise of a chilly winter and stirring up the piles of colorful leaves, carrying them here and there, much to the dismay of some of the humans. • year one
