Coy trotted through the darkness, a nonchalant expression practically painted across his face, nails clicking on the concrete. The only sound he really heard was his own nails, that and a few crickets chirping to one another somewhere in the grass. The night was very still and it carried with it some sort of peaceful atmosphere that the mutt wasn't at all used to feeling. Usually his mind was consumed by stress but tonight was different.. well, just a little bit different. You see, he was very sure that he wasn't supposed to be out here this late and he was very sure that there may be negative consequences to him having left the house at this time, but he was really just trying to block his worries out for once. It wasn't healthy to be so anxious all the time, and especially he knew that, even if he was the one who always had big flapping moths in his stomach.

The male halted briefly to sniff the air, picking up the faint scents of humans left over from earlier. As far as he could sense, there was nobody else here in the park with him. "Ah, this is nice.." He mumbled low, flopping down in a carefree position on his side on the cool pavement. Usually this would be a safety hazard, but he didn't see any headlights nearby so he assumed it would be fine for now, "Nothin' around to spoil the calm." He tapped his plumed tail against the rough surface beneath him, his words daring only the worst to happen

Sharon lay in a grassy spot in the park, inhaling the scent of the soil beneath herself. She was feeling very calm at the moment, close to dozing off. She had her head rested on her paws, her tail curled around her legs. Her owners seemed to trust her more and more each day, they had been allowing her to stay out for longer periods of time at night, she probably would need to be getting home to them soon however. The harrier blinked, gazing up at the stars in the sky above her, it sure was beautiful tonight.

The mutt rolled over onto his left side, jaws opening in a yawn before shutting once again. His salmon pink tongue swiped out from between his lips and darted over his whiskers, returning promptly to his mouth. His eyelids batted open and closed a few times, baby blues gazing at nothing in particular, just across the road the body they belonged to lay in. Coy didn't expect to see anyone over there in the field but that's exactly what his gaze caught. He blinked yet again. Yes, there was indeed somebody over there, and they seemed to be relaxing just as he was, although now that he'd noticed them he wasn't at all relaxed in the least.

The husky clambered to his paws, eyes straining to make out the shape and size of the canine that laid nearby to him. He inhaled sharply, nostrils squeezing inwards and then flaring outwards as he exhaled, information flooding his brain. They smelt male, yes, they did, and they smelt clean. They were probably somebody's pet, which wasn't usually something you needed to worry about. Domestics were rarely dangerous unless purposefully provoked. Coy found himself moving in the direction of the stranger, cone-shaped ears pricked forwards, all senses alert.

Sharon lowered her gaze from the sky to see another canine heading towards her, this startled her and she got to her paws. She tucked her tail in between her legs, trying hard to appear more feminine to this stranger. Taking a step forwards she called out to them, "Hello there, is there somethin' I can help you with?" she lifted one paw slightly off the ground, holding in in front of herself. It was always troubling to meet new people or dogs, she didn't wear clothes, so there really was no way to hide the gender she was born with.

Coy stopped in front of the stranger, sitting down upon his haunches and curling his tail to the side of him so as not to seem intimidating. He often came off as so to others although he tried his best not to most of the time. "Hello there, is there somethin' I can help you with?" The mutt flicked an ear back against his skull upon hearing the other dog speak for the first time. They had a rather deep voice but seemed to be putting it a bit higher than normal, or so he thought. "Help? Nah, I've got no real need for help right now. Thanks for askin' though." He answered their question politely, cocking a brow almost inquisitively as he studied them up and down. Their stance was very feminine and he almost couldn't be sure of their gender, but they seemed very masculine as well. He was frightened to ask, worried that the result would be them taking offense.

"What brings ya out here so late?" Coy avoided asking what he really wanted to, unease twisting in his gut. He didn't like seeming rude or immature to strangers, particularly strangers he met when he was alone at night. If he said the wrong thing there may be nobody to hear his cries for help and his body may not be discovered for weeks. Stop it you, he told himself, you're being ridiculous. But he couldn't help having these thoughts. He always had these thoughts. His anxiety was just as much a part of him as his ears and tail.

"Oh, not much at all really.." Sharon replied, "I just thought I might as well find somewhere away from my home to relax a bit." She gave the stranger a smile, trying to keep her laid back attitude she usually had. "What would your name be? Mine's Sharon." She cocked her head to the side, her gaze meeting that of the stranger's briefly before it became too uncomfortable for her to keep eye contact.
