SASSY, CLEVER, TACTICAL/STRATEGIC, MANIPULATIVE, LOYAL, STUBBORN.Clever and tactical, this young canine has been on the streets for about a year now. She had known human life once in her life, but that is long gone now. She has grown up as a stray and sure acts like one. Her sarcastic and sassy marks are bound to bring just about anyone up and over the wall if they get too close. She uses her ability to talk fast and for long periods of time - due to quick thinking - as distractions and ways to get out of a physical fight. Basically, her sharp tongue buys her chances to run. That's what she born to do and it's what she has always done. She has done nothing but run from her problems and use other canines to get away from them as well. Because she has known nothing but to survive, she is known to be manipulative and use other canines to get what she needs. At some point in time, you may think she is your friend, but she just needs you to get through a problem of her own.
However, aside from this, Lithium is as loyal as can be. Once she finds someone she knows she can trust, she is bound to them until they die or leave her behind. She is a skilled hunter and when hunting is low, she knows the best garbage cans to sought out! She knows the streets like the back ends of her paws and has no problems when it comes to fighting or surviving in them. The final thing that is needed to be known about the young collie is that her aggression comes from her fear. She is so scared of humans and other dogs - or any kind of living creature that is also a predator besides cats - that it has made her aggressive to them. If one wishes to get into the young collies mind, it's going to take a lot of work and patience to even get her to look at you like you aren't going to kill her.HISTORY
She was the key to everything as a puppy. The prettiest of her litter and the most favorite by the family who had adopted her. She was taken into a new home at the age of 8 months and loved very much by her new family. She was groomed well, fed properly, and taken to the park every day to play with new dogs. Life seemed like a golden and beautiful thing that was never going to change for her. However, it did. When she was a little over a year - somewhere around a year and 2 months - she awoke in her bed one morning to find the house completely empty. There was nothing unusual about that except that she usually was fed and patted before her humans went out. Still, she had never known them to run too far for too long. So she plopped herself on the mat by the door and awaited their return.
A return that never came.
She waited what felt like days. She couldn't remember how many times the sun went up and down before she became so hungry that she thought her stomach was trying to eat her alive. Still, she waited. She loved them so much and she was almost positive they loved her too. They would come back. They always did. But, they didn't. And no matter how much she wanted to keep waiting ; how much of her inner instinct just told her a little longer, they would be home soon - she was forced to go and find something to eat. Keeping her collar on her neck as a sign of where her loyalties lied, she escaped out an open window and went out in search of food.
For the first few months, all she would do was eat from a dumpster outside a restaurant that was placed in an alley way and return home to sleep, waiting her humans to come home. But, the longer she waited, the more impatient she got, and eventually, she was forced to flee completely from her human home. Being on the streets was no life for such a young dog. She was constantly fighting off cats and being chased off by other dogs. However, lacking physical strength, she needed to use something else to get her way. Two things came to be her defenses - looks and sass. She started snapping and using sarcasm to distract danger long enough to flee. Where sometimes she could swoon a canine in to get what she desperately needed - whether it be food or shelter from a storm.
By the time she was almost two, she was a completely wild canine. One who's only symbol her past was the little red collar that lay around her neck.
