PERSONALITY When anyone in Shorebridge, Georgia hears the words "bad dog", Gavin is the face that comes to mind. Dare devil, attention seeking, boundless energy are a few other things that can describe this out-of-control dog. Being mixed with a powerful hunting dog like an Airedale, and a highly intelligent and high jumping dog like a Jack Russell Terrier, Gavin's athletic abilities are astounding. He uses every bit of them to get in trouble; jumping onto counters and over fences, stealing food, chasing cats, and tearing up paper and scattering it down the streets is just a few things. Most of the town has grown to accept that its just in his blood to be so mischievous. But he isn't all bad. He loves both possitive and negative attention. In hopes of curving his bad behavior, he has been taught a wide variety of tricks that he will happily perform for anyone willing to give him a treat. To other dogs, he can either be seen as highly charismatic or annoying. He is especially social and flirtatious. He also likes to tease and taunt and joke, and doesn't quite know when he has gone too far. He can be stubborn and selfish, but loyal to any friend he makes. An exceptional hunter (earning his nickname), he is willing to teach anyone who wants to learn. Go-getter, joke-cracker, and neverending ball of sunshine, anyone traveling with this dog is bound to have some good laughs, a fun time, and maybe a whole lot of trouble. Gavin is named after the white hawk-shaped crest on his chest. Outside of being only a bit larger than an average Jack Russell Terrier, it is the only thing isn't blended perfectly to the point where what dogs he is mixed with is not quite clear. As stated before, he is small, but all muscle, with a stocky build. Like a Jack Russell, he easily has a vertical of 5 feet and with a running start can jump and climb over any fence a person can legally construct. His reflexes are incredible and his endurance is quite admirable for his size.

HISTORY Breeding the two indisputable kings of terriers together was something done on purpose. Originally, Gavin was a barn dog for the largest farm in Shorebridge, Georgia. His first two years, he was hunting or driving off everything from mice, rabbits, possums, and raccoons to snakes, foxes, and even wolves. Unfortunately, the dog outdid himself:he was too good, and he ran out of things to hunt and chase! He then turned his attention to harassing the various farm animals. After almost being trampled by the horses, the owners of the farm decided it was best for him to be given up. He was adopted by the farmer's daughter (who lived on the opposite side of Shorebridge and works as a teacher) so he could be close by if ever needed, but still have a safe environment to live in. At first he rebelled strongly against the family. He felt like he was in prison. All of his freedom to run in the endless fields had been stolen from right under his feet. But as the months passed, Gavin slowly started to accept the family. At least the children would play with him. All that awesome human food and toys to tear the stuffing out of is great too. But now school is starting back and nobody is home anymore. The family quickly learned when left alone, even when in a cage, the dog would break out and destroy the house, so he was forced to stay outside while the family is gone. The backyard is nice though. Plenty of toys, a shady tree and a big warm dog house to stay in. It just isn't big enough for his taste. Shortly after the family leaves for school and work, he simply jumps over the fence to go terrorize the town and meet up with other dogs. | ||||||||
