DOMESTIC ; THE HOUSEHOLD COMPANIONS
The ordinary housepets. Mutts, mongrels and purebreds alike can find themselves part of this group. These dogs occupy the place of family and/or household companion and are some of the most commonly found types in the town of Shorebridge. This doesn't mean they aren't special however. These dogs do their fair share of work by just being there for their owners, most of them being loyal, loving and (sometimes) obedient to the end.

WORKER ; THE HELPING PAWS
Whether it's leading their blind owner across the street, sniffing out chronic illnesses, pulling small children out of burning buildings, tracking down notorious criminals, guarding the entryway to their home or simply herding a group of cattle or sheep, these dogs take pride in their careers.. usually. These canines are well-trained individuals from all walks of life, working to make a difference in the everyday life of humans and animals alike. Some of them wear a special collar or vest to prove it and some of them on first glance could pass as any other dog. What truly separates them from the ordinary type is how dedicated most of them are.

STRAY ; THE STREET SMART
Some of them were abandoned, some of them ran off to start a new life and some of them were born out on the streets and have never known a life besides being a stray. Most of these dogs have it real tough out there on their own and some of them are clever and easily survive. The chances of them making it to die a peaceful death from old age are perhaps a bit more than fifty/fifty or perhaps a little less but many of them are perfectly content to live as independent souls for however long they may live.

PACK MEMBER ; THE BIRDS OF A FEATHER
Canines born into packs on the rough scale are usually somewhere between domestic and somewhere between stray. They tend to be more wild than housepets but, well, not as toughened as strays. Many of the older members were actually strays to begin with that grouped together with others for survival. Some of the packs of Shorebridge are cruel and dangerous and others are quite harmless. You never know who you're running into if you trespass on their territory, so beware.

SHOW DOG ; THE PEDIGREE SPOTLIGHTS
Purebred dogs with papers and their sole purpose in life to win ribbons, medals and trophies for their conformation and coloring. These classy canines have it easy most of the time and sometimes that gets to their heads and causes them to be conceited. There aren't too many of this variety in Shorebridge but there still are quite a few here and there amongst the richer parts of town (to the dismay of several locals, both canine and human).
